Hualien Water Jumping Challenge Pushes Sensory Limits

Taiwan’s first-ever water jumping event debuted on June 5 in Hualien. This challenge, often seen on the Korean variety show “Running Man,” has now been introduced to Taiwan by local operators, allowing the public to experience its thrills without leaving the country.

In water jumping, one person lies on an air mattress while two others leap from a two-story platform. The person below gets launched into the air before landing in the water — an extremely thrilling experience. Participants must wear life jackets and helmets throughout the activity, with all safety measures in place beforehand.
