The Shinobizoku Skywalk is incredibly thrilling — there's a cliff right beneath your feet.

The newly built "Shinobizoku Skywalk" in Fengbin Township, Hualien, is 170 meters long and built along a steep cliff. The walkway has a transparent reinforced glass bottom. Walking on it, you’re faced with cliffs on one side and the vast Pacific Ocean on the other, with a bottomless chasm under your feet — truly heart-pounding and exciting. The Fengbin Township Office plans to open it by the end of the year.

The skywalk route follows an ancient path of the local indigenous people. Legend has it that a woman carrying her child across the cliff was so nervous during the crossing that she didn’t realize her child had gone missing until after she had crossed. This place was thus named "Shinobizoku Cliff," meaning even the bond between parent and child could not overcome the peril of the cliff.

Fengbin Township has created the new "Shinobizoku Skywalk" to showcase the former charm of the ancient path. Currently undergoing final inspections, the parking lot and tunnel facilities are not yet completed. It is expected to open to the public by the end of the year. The Fengbin Township Office strongly advises against unauthorized entry to prevent accidents.
