A lush green lawn dotted with little tents—but this isn’t camping. It’s the creative concept of “perBed,” a youth hostel in Taichung. Here, you won’t find traditional hotel rooms or beds. Instead, there’s a large open space and tents, designed to encourage guests to interact and share their stories.

Rather than being just a hotel, “perBed” is more like a participatory art exhibition space where every guest becomes part of the performance. Through conversation, listening, and writing, guests can rediscover trust in one another.
