Colorful Zinnias Bloom as Summer Floral Displays Take Over the Islands

In harmony with the summer atmosphere of the Penghu Archipelago, the Agriculture and Fisheries Bureau of Penghu County Government has planted a vast array of colorful "zinnias" in the rippling grasslands of Tianrenhu Lake within the recreational area behind the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration Office. These flowers have now entered full bloom and are gradually opening up. The blooming season, which began on June 22, is expected to last for over a month, heralding the arrival of summer through the zinnias.

Zinnias are a type of plant from the Asteraceae family, available in a rich variety of colors such as red, yellow, pink, white, and orange. Their blooming period can last several weeks, and their vivid hues adorning the Tianrenhu Lake grasslands represent the vitality, passion, and exuberance of summer in the Penghu Archipelago.

Aside from the stunning sea of flowers, the Penghu recreational area also features lush greenery in the Dongwei Forest and Shuanglongtan areas, the Butterfly Honey Garden with a variety of ornamental flowers, and the Soil and Water Conservation Classroom scenic area, home to a rich collection of cacti and park-style landscapes.
