New Night Scene Discovery: The Twin Towers Spine Bridge Lights Up, Creating a Magical View

The Changhua County Government has built the country’s first “diamond-shaped twin towers spine bridge.” Recently, nighttime lighting tests have begun, with colorful LED projectors illuminating the bridge’s towers and stay cables, creating dazzling and vivid light effects that shine brilliantly across the Changhua Plain.

This twin towers spine bridge acts as the access road to the high-speed rail station in Changhua, spanning the Western Line of the Taiwan Railways and connecting to Provincial Highway 76. The concrete bridge towers are 20 meters tall, with a span of 250 meters. A total of 92 high-efficiency full-color LED projectors are installed to cast light, which will vary in projection patterns and colors according to different seasons and festivals. Travelers on the Taiwan Railways or high-speed rail passing through Changhua can all admire this beautifully designed and novel spine bridge.

The Changhua Twin Towers Spine Bridge was officially completed and opened to traffic during the summer of 2017. It is currently undergoing nighttime testing of the LED projectors, with tests conducted one to two times per week. Once fully completed, the colorful illuminated views can be enjoyed every night, making it a new eye-catching landmark in Changhua.
