The Zhongshe Lotus Season Begins: A Majestic Six-Hectare Sea of Blooms

The Zhongshe Lotus Season in Houli, Taichung, has begun, with a 1,600-ping lotus pond cultivated with varieties including Dahanzian, Jianlian, Shilian, and double-petal Baiyelian. White, pink, and peach-hued flowers flourish in the summer, offering visitors a visual feast with their diverse and beautiful forms. From July 1st for one week, residents of Houli and Waipu can enter for free, while visitors from July to September can enjoy a 50% discount on admission.

As summer lotuses burst into bloom, the Zhongshe Flower Market is hosting its annual Lotus Season event. This year, the lotus pond features Dahanzian, Jianlian, and Shilian, combined with thousands of stalks of grass, fragrant water lilies, sage, and sunflowers across a six-hectare sea of flowers, creating a vibrant floral spectacle. Visitors can enjoy the blooms from now until September 30th.
