Get buy-one-get-one-free tickets to the Toy Festival when traveling by train

The Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival begins on July 2. To prevent heavy traffic on National Freeway No. 5 due to large crowds, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and Yilan County Government have introduced a public transportation discount plan. With proof of purchase such as an intercity bus or Taiwan Railways ticket, visitors can enjoy a "buy one get one free" deal on festival admission for two people. Additionally, special shuttle buses for the festival will be available, and more Taiwan Railways NT$100 express trains will be added.

To encourage the use of public transport to visit the festival, during the event period, you can depart from multiple locations including Yuanshan, Dapinglin, Technology Building, Nangang, Nangang Exhibition Center MRT stations, as well as Banqiao Transfer Station, Taipei Transfer Station, and City Hall Transfer Station, and travel directly to the festival venue, with a total of 49 round-trip services each day on weekends.

Taiwan Railways will add extra hundred-dollar express trains between Shulin and Luodong on weekends. In addition, holders of intercity bus or Taiwan Railways tickets can enjoy a “buy one get one free” ticket offer for the Yilan Toy Festival for two people. On holidays, passengers can also transfer for free to Yilan’s Red Trunk Line buses and Green Attraction Shuttle Buses, which connect key sites across the region.
