Tyrannosaurus rex appears at Dongshi Port’s Summer Sea Festival – Crazy fun this summer

The 2016 Dongshi Fisherman’s Wharf Summer Sea Festival debuts on July 9th, with this year’s theme “Summer Play Carnival.” Over the course of two consecutive weekend holiday event periods, evenings will feature a variety of engaging shows, while afternoons will offer a range of smaller activities. Water play facilities such as the whale pool will also be fully open, making it an ideal choice for family outings during the summer vacation.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Summer Sea Festival, which has planned the currently popular escape game “Jurassic Escape.” The event has also invited popular bands such as 911, Golden Melody Award Best New Artist Hsieh Chen-ting, Chairman Band, and Huoshan Liang, along with the Nine Days Folk Performance Troupe and Stunt Space, to deliver world-class performances that blend traditional drum formations with light and shadow effects.

During the event period, the organizers have arranged multiple free shuttle buses from “Dongshi Junior High School – Dongshi Fisherman’s Wharf” from 2 p.m. until the end of the evening shows, running every 30 minutes to save visitors the hassle of parking. Guests can also choose to take the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Yanxiang Coastal Line bus to reach the event venue and visit other popular coastal attractions in the Jiadong area along the way.
