Qijin Golden Sea Pearl – Hear the Sound of the Sea

With its bustling markets, scenic coastline, delicious seafood, and the “Golden Sea Pearl” at the coastal park, you can enjoy the sea breeze and take photos with the giant golden seashell, admiring a different view of the harbor city.

The “Golden Sea Pearl” is a public art installation created after the restoration of the Qijin Coastal Park. Visitors can freely explore the area by bike and spot this huge golden seashell shining in the sunlight from afar. Sitting on the ground in front of the Golden Sea Pearl, you can leisurely listen to and watch the sea. Passing through the trumpet-shaped golden tunnel, you’ll discover hidden surprises on both sides – press your ear close and you can hear the rumbling sound of the tides rising and falling.

In addition to these beautiful public artworks, you can also visit the first and second floor observation deck restaurants at the Qijin Ferry Terminal, where large floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of the expansive harbor. You can also get a close-up look at the spectacular sight of large ships entering the port. Moreover, the entrance plaza of the Qijin Beach is landscaped with a variety of palm plants, ocean-themed art installations, and white sand pits, complementing the mountain and sea scenery of Qijin to add a touch of tropical charm.
