Melbourne Tops Global Liveability Ranking: Must-Visit Highlights

The annual Economist Intelligence Unit’s Global Liveability Survey has named Melbourne in Victoria, Australia, the “world’s most liveable city” for the sixth consecutive year. As the top-ranked city, Melbourne is celebrated as a center for Australian culture, shopping, music, and nightlife. Its distinctive laneways, parks, gardens, and creative communities have also received high praise.

Australia has long been one of the most popular travel destinations for Taiwanese visitors, and Melbourne has emerged as a key hotspot in recent years. According to the latest statistics from the Victorian government, from April 2015 to March this year, around 48,000 Taiwanese travelers visited Victoria within a one-year period, marking a 14.7% increase compared to the same period last year. The average length of stay for Taiwanese overnight visitors in Victoria has also risen by 9.8% over last year.
