Hot air balloon experience at Qingqing Grassland becomes a popular new highlight for Xiangshan sightseeing

Although strong winds prevented the balloons from fully inflating and they could only “stand upright,” the scene still drew cheers from the crowd. Ms. Yang from Taoyuan said that although she didn’t get to ride a balloon to enjoy the mountain and sea views of Xiangshan, seeing the balloons stand upright and sliding down the longest terrazzo slide in northern Taiwan brought back childhood memories—it was “absolutely thrilling!”
New Taipei City’s “Slide, Hot Air Balloon, Summer Vacation at Qingqing Grassland” event concluded joyfully under the sunset of Xiangshan, attracting over 70,000 visitors in just two days. Despite daytime temperatures exceeding 30°C, people of all ages still lined up to experience the thrill of “leaving Earth’s surface.” Qingqing Grassland has become a new highlight for Xiangshan tourism. With many recent tourism highlights in New Taipei City, it has drawn many visitors.
