The popular restaurant behind these eye-catching drinks is Hawaii Grill Hawaiian Kitchen in Tainan. Since opening in July 2014, it has been beloved by visitors. The owner, Hawaiian Scott, is committed to delivering authentic Hawaiian flavors, with many ingredients and seasonings imported directly from Hawaii—offering diners a true taste of Hawaiian cuisine.

Hawaii Grill Hawaiian Kitchen offers numerous fan-favorite dishes, such as Kalua Pig—a famous Hawaiian dish often served at traditional Luau feasts. Prepared by salting a whole pig, wrapping it in banana leaves, and slow-smoking it underground for a full day (somewhat akin to Taiwan’s “kiln-cooked” meals), the long smoking process results in incredibly tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat. It was once named by a food critic as one of the “20 dishes you’d regret not trying before you die,” and ranked 15th on CNN’s list of the world’s best foods.

The family-recipe braised beef also showcases adistinctive flavor, thanks to the use of richly marbled beef ribs with connective tissue.Cut into chunks and simmered with plenty of vegetables and uniquely Hawaiian spices, this is a recipe passed down from Chef Scott’s grandmother. Due to the slow cooking process, the meat becomes extremely tender and flavorful, and the thick sauce can even be poured over rice—tempting everyone to eat extra scoops. It’s no wonder this dish ranks among thetop three most popular choices.Family-recipe braised beef. Huli Huli Chicken, known as “rotisserie chicken” in Hawaiian. "Huli" means “to turn,” and as the name implies, the chicken is continuously rotated while being grilled, giving it a beautiful caramelized glaze. This method also locks in all the juices. Our chef brought this dish to Tainan, marinating 8 oz chicken thighs in a secret recipe for 24 hours before grilling them. Thanks to precise heat control and continual basting during cooking, the chicken turns out juicy and flavorful—with every bite delivering a rich aroma and the essence of the meat. It’s a must-order dish at Hawaii Grill.
