Due to Typhoon Megi, Taiwan High-Speed Rail announced the suspension of all services on September 27 (Tuesday). As for the operational status on September 28 (Wednesday), the high-speed rail company continues to monitor the latest developments of the typhoon and assess its impact on the entire line, with a separate announcement to be made before 19:00 on September 27.

Taiwan Railways' scheduled trains are fully suspended, with only local trains operating depending on weather conditions. Passengers are urged to confirm final travel arrangements before departure and stay vigilant about their personal safety.
The train operation plan for September 27 is announced as follows:
I. Western Trunk Line (between Keelung and Chaozhou):
(1) Scheduled Trains: All suspended.
(2) Local Trains: Operate flexibly depending on weather conditions.
(3) Branch Lines: All suspended.
II. Eastern Trunk Line (between Badu and Taitung):
(1) North-Link Line, Yilan Line, and Hualien-Taitung Line: All trains at all levels suspended.
(2) South-Link Line (between Chaozhou–Fangliao and Fangliao–Taitung): All trains at all levels suspended.
III. Alishan Forest Railway Main Line (between Chiayi and Fenqihu): Fully suspended on both September 27 and 28.
