Double-decker sightseeing buses offer an eye-catching way to explore Taipei – route details revealed

The double-decker sightseeing buses are set to become one of the most eye-catching mobile attractions in Taipei. Departing from Taipei Main Station, the buses pass through Ximending and Beimen. The Classic Line continues along Zhongshan North Road, stopping at the Taipei Flora Expo Park, Taipei Arts Center, and Shilin Official Residence before reaching the National Palace Museum. The Fashion Line connects landmarks such as the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Yongkang Street, Da’an Forest Park, Taipei 101, the National Father Memorial Hall, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, and Huashan 1914 Creative Park. Onboard audio guides in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean will lead passengers on a high-altitude tour of Taipei.

As the double-decker sightseeing buses operate as part of Taipei’s urban bus routes, the final routes will be confirmed after review by the Transportation Bureau’s Route Review Committee. However, Yu-Yan Shu noted that the initial plan for a 4-hour ticket priced at NT$300 is quite attractive. In the future, familiarization tours for travel agencies, media, and bloggers from Japan, Korea, Singapore & Malaysia, China (Hong Kong & Macau), and Thailand will be organized, allowing travel agencies to package the experience early and generate media exposure to attract visitors. Several travel agencies have already reached out proactively, hoping to gain an early advantage and plan ahead.
