A mild typhoon Sarika has formed, bringing potential heavy rain due to the combined effects.

Typhoon No. 21Sarika (international name SARIKA) formed on the evening of October 13 as a mild typhoon. Its center is positioned at 13.8°N, 128.7°E, moving westward at speeds between 16 and 13 km/h. The typhoon's central pressure is 998 hPa, with maximum near-center wind speeds of 18 m/s and maximum instantaneous gusts of 25 m/s. The radius of the seventh-level wind zone is 100 km.

The forecast indicates a low likelihood of the typhoon making landfall in Taiwan. However, the combined effect and peripheral circulation will bring mostly rainy weather across Taiwan, with northern, northeastern, and southern regions advised to guard against heavy rain. Travelers planning to visit Hong Kong and Macau in the near future should also monitor the local weather conditions.
