Since 2013, the Xinying Arts Festival has adopted the concept of “Art Embodied, Starting from Xinying,” in line with the Xinying Arts Park’s goals of becoming an “open urban park” and integrating “art into everyday life.” Starting from the Xinying Cultural Center, it breaks through spatial limitations, introducing quality art into living spaces, with the aim of embodying life through art and shaping the character of Xinying as a city. The 2016 Xinying Arts Festival, under the theme “All-New, All-Art,” presented a variety of performances and activities, along with digital interactions such as QR codes, engaging more visitors and local residents.

Key events are introduced as follows:
2016 Xinying Arts Festival Opening Limited Free Ticket Activity
Location: Exterior wall of Xinying Cultural Center (next to the plaza)
Time: Starting 14:00 on 10/22 until complimentary tickets run out
Rules: After the activity begins, participants can use their phones to scan the QR code stickers covering the exterior wall of the cultural center to find discount codes posted on the walls. When you spot a free ticket/discount icon, carefully remove the sticker. From 10/22 to 10/28, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, bring the sticker to the Xinying Cultural Center information desk for staff verification and ticket redemption.
The 2016 Xinying Arts Festival “All-New, All-Art” brings a brand-new experience. The lively and exciting opening event will kick off with a circus and acrobatics parade; in the crisp autumn air, stroll through a high-quality handmade market and encounter art unexpectedly along the green pathways, enjoying surprises brought by street performers, street dance, and interactive art.
Performing arts professionals bring fresh topics to the Xinying Cultural Center. Tang Congsheng, Zhu Degang, Zeng Guocheng, and Lang Zuyun take turns sharing their stage experiences, recounting the laughter and tears of performance work.
Bring your paper game map and head to the Xinying Art Park to find 19 hidden mice. Each mouse has its own unique color, full of childhood joy. Created by No. 2 Good, the first-generation Chinese animation aesthetics artist, “Childhood Rhapsody” is a public art corridor that revives scenes of childhood memories, bringing art into real-life public spaces.
Each mouse carries a different number. Head to the Xinying Cultural Center information desk to get a challenge map, crack the codes, and win great gifts. Collecting each mouse’s code adds new fun to the art journey.
