McDonald’s milkshakes discontinued – loyal fans have to go abroad to enjoy them

McDonald’s milkshakes come in three flavors: vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. They have been on sale since 1984 for over 30 years, but will be gradually phased out starting November 9. Among the 400 McDonald’s branches across Taiwan, more than 100 still offer milkshakes. Those wishing to have one last taste are advised to check whether their local branch still sells them before visiting.

Other countries that have also discontinued milkshakes include China, which stopped selling them in 2014. However, they are still available in Hong Kong, Macau, and Japan. In Japan, there was even a locally exclusive purple sweet potato flavor. If you want to enjoy McDonald’s milkshakes again in the future, you’ll have to go abroad. As for the widely circulated online rumor that “the Milkshake Brother is about to lose his job,” it brought a smile to the faces of loyal fans.
