Tokyo has a new shopping paradise again!* Located near the famous cherry blossom spot of Meguro River, "Nakameguro Underpass" will gather 14 new types of shops and restaurants, along with two of the most talked-about first-time stores in the Kanto region and a collection of the most popular shops, all set to open on November 22, 2016, under the elevated railway space right next to Nakameguro Station. At that time, approximately 700 meters of elevated railway space around Nakameguro Station will feature 28 uniquely styled shops and gourmet restaurants open to the public.

The literary café favorite "Tsutaya Books" will also open a new branch here, with extremely convenient business hours from 7 AM to midnight, open all year round.

"Nakameguro Underpass" is a collaborative project between Tokyu Corporation and Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd., making full use of the idle space beneath the elevated railway. The long-neglected 700-meter stretch of land has been cleverly transformed into a fashionable landmark around Nakameguro.
