A red carpet of maple leaves blankets the sky as Fushoushan Farm’s maple leaf season kicks off in full swing

Maple leaf viewing season is underway one after another, and among them, Fushoushan Farm in Heping District, Taichung City, has become a popular new attraction in recent years. With the arrival of late autumn, the maple leaves at Fushoushan began to turn red a week ago. The famous "Songlu Red Leaves" are attracting many visitors to snap photos, and guesthouses in the Lishan area are fully booked—showing that this wave of maple leaf season draws crowds comparable to the cherry blossom season.

Currently about 50% of the leaves have turned red, and they continue to deepen in color. If the weather remains stable, leaf fall will begin around early December. Now is the time when the leaves gradually shift from green to yellow to red. The area around Songlu is vibrant with colors. Visitors can gaze upward along the trails, while the maple leaves at Yuanyang Lake have already begun to fall, covering the ground with a red carpet. Travelers can enjoy two distinctly different autumn maple experiences in one trip.
