The Taipei 101 New Year's Eve fireworks, which were previously reported to possibly be canceled due to funding issues, have now been officially confirmed to go ahead this year. The fireworks display will still last 238 seconds, but the number of fireworks launched will be reduced by half. Nevertheless, Taipei 101 has introduced a new creative twist by synchronizing 800 light shows, offering both domestic and international visitors a brand-new fireworks experience.

In addition, Taipei 101 stated that these 800 lights will be installed from the bottom up across the entire 101 skyscraper, promising a truly spectacular visual effect. This announcement also confirms that the rumors of a possible cancellation were just that—rumors. In mid-December, the fireworks ordered by Taipei 101 from Europe arrived in Taiwan, marking what is set to be a highly anticipated international New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacle.
