Gorgeous churches with breathtaking views！ Drive a sports car around Guam’s churches to take wedding photos

Ding ding ding～～～ Today is the highlight of our trip to Guam～～～ Coming to Guam means you absolutely have to drive a sports car + visit churches + take wedding photos XDDDDD
And renting a sports car in Guam is super affordable. We rented a super sleek convertible Mustang, wow, the feeling of being pressed back into the seat for the first time in my life was right here！

We chose EZ Rent A Car for our Guam road trip at $143.98 USD per day to get the Mustang～ pretty cheap, huh XD They picked us up from the hotel early in the morning. Well… they were a little late, so we went to McDonald’s first. I feel like the burger buns in Guam McDonald’s are different from those in Taiwan, and actually tastier (I’m going off-topic again XD)

When we got to the rental car shop, the first thing we did after picking the car was to take pictures of any scratches. Last time in Iceland, we didn’t pay attention to this, and later had to pay the rental shop NT$40,000 for a scratch when returning the car. So make sure to remember—always take photos before and after to confirm any damages on the car！Alright～ let’s continue.

The morning itinerary was to drive to all the churches. All you really need is a tripod, a wedding dress, and some accessories—you can actually take beautiful photos by yourself！
Our route was:

1. Saint Victoria’s Chapel inside Hotel Nikko Guam

2. The Crystal Chapel at Hotel Nikko Guam

Unfortunately, you can’t take photos inside if you’re not having a wedding—even if you’re a guest. So we could only take pictures outside the small chapel. During the photo session, we happened to run into a Japanese couple getting married. Probably due to traditional customs, the staff asked us to leave because “brides shouldn’t cross paths.” I don’t know what that custom is, but I thought it was kinda cool, so I’m mentioning it specifically XDD

3. Ypao Beach & Hilton Guam Resort & Spa
We couldn’t find the last two spots, and time was running out, so we didn’t get to take photos there～ After visiting the churches, we headed out for lunch at TripAdvisor’s #1 spot: Guam Sailing Restaurant PROA Agana Branch, right across from Chamorro Village. When we arrived at the restaurant, because I was wearing a wedding dress, the staff thought we were newlyweds.

They specially served us their most famous dessert, so listen to EVAN～～～ if you go to Guam, definitely bring a wedding dress, haha！ And you have to wear it when you eat at this place！！！ Alright, I think this place is really delicious—the portions are generous, and the price isn’t too high either. Compared to eating something like this in Taiwan, the cost-performance ratio is super high！

Their grilled dishes are a major highlight of the restaurant, with their signature sauce. Overall, the food has a lot of depth—you won’t find flavors like this in regular restaurants. For dessert, they had chocolate mustard cheesecake or fried banana. They gave us the fried banana, and I thought the texture was great, very soft and smooth！Awesome！

After stuffing ourselves, we changed into a lighter wedding dress～～～～～～ haha, gonna change outfits a few times～ then continued to snap photos with the beautiful scenery Up～～

Along the way, we found a secret spot—quiet with few people but you can drive right up to the ocean view, so we stopped to take photos Up～～ Isn’t it beautiful.

Actually, driving around Guam is quite comfortable. Driving a sports car means no motorcycles squeezing through traffic, plus the beautiful scenery along the way makes you feel like you’re racing in Formula 1. Not really～～ but whenever we see a nice spot, we just stop to take photos and stroll around. It’s really relaxing, a kind of comfort you can’t easily enjoy in every country. Though compared to the Maldives, the sea here isn’t as stunning.

But Guam has its own unique charm. I feel that Guam isn’t just an island—it offers so many activities, not just limited to things on the water. There’s a relatively wider variety of things to do！

After such a joyful trip, it’s finally coming to an end. So we ended the journey with some super delicious squid ink pasta.
But I have to highly recommend this squid ink pasta～～ it’s super authentic, the squid flavor is very strong, really fragrant, and the portion is huge. I ate so much that I didn’t have squid ink pasta for a whole year after returning to Taiwan. There was just too much, and for a day or two after getting back, my poop was black. Isn’t that proof of how real the ingredients are.

This squid ink pasta is from the restaurant Capricciosa (inside Pacific Place mall), and it’s really delicious—you have to remember to try it.

After eating way too much, I went back to the hotel to sleep. Tomorrow I’ll be back in the real world Up～ goodbye Guam.
