On the morning of the Taiwan store’s opening day, people were already lining up early. After official sales began, crowds continued to pour in. Though the wait time reached several hours within half an hour of opening, the enthusiasm of those in line showed no signs of fading.

ZAKUZAKU stick puffs are characterized by three highlights: “freshly filled custard cream on the spot,” “a crispy, rich triple-layer delightful texture,” and “a unique stick-shaped design.” The puff shells are made with carefully selected ingredients from Hokkaido, Japan, then shipped to Taiwan and freshly baked daily in-store. The soul of the puff—the filling—is made from 100% pure, high-quality fresh milk sourced exclusively from contracted local Taiwanese farms. Using the brand’s uniquely developed vacuum high-speed mixer, silky smooth custard sauce is freshly whipped right in the store.

Each bite of the stick puff delivers a triple surprise of flavors: “crispy, roasted almond bits,” “golden, slightly burnt crispy puffs,” and “rich, smooth freshly piped custard cream.” In Taiwan, ZAKUZAKU stick puffs are priced at NT$88 for a single piece and NT$498 for a pack of six.
