Everyone Can Be Mozart – Taiwan’s First Piano-Floor Installation

Taiwan has no shortage of creative ideas for community revitalization. In addition to the recent popular trends of neighborhood murals and space renovations, Cisheng Park in Sanchong District, New Taipei City, has installed a sunlight-powered floor piano that brings an artistic touch to an otherwise unremarkable community park. The Cisheng Neighborhood broke away from conventional thinking to create a 4.6-meter-long, 1.1-meter-wide, 36-key sunlight floor piano. Notably, stepping on the keys not only produces musical notes, but also activates LED lights, all powered by solar panels—making this the first time a green energy source has been used in recreational facilities at a park in Taiwan. It’s a fun attraction suitable for visitors of all ages.
