The secluded Bayan Village in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, became a new pilgrimage destination for travelers and photographers with its fairy-tale-like Shuishui Central attraction. However, the increasing number of visitors has led to ecological damage and local resident dissatisfaction, prompting a petition to close the village, which many find regrettable. Recently, however, some locals have discovered another new spot comparable to Bayan—a hidden Shuishui Central gem located in Tamsui. Netizens use the “Bei 8 Township Road Kuirou Mountain Road” landmark to check in, and many visitors have been raving about it. Dubbed an advanced version of Shuishui Central, it has drawn numerous photo-taking visitors and sparked widespread attention.

Aside from the closure of Jinshan’s Bayan Village, Yilan’s extremely popular scenic spot, Eagle Stone Peak, has also been shut down due to potential cracks and the risk of collapse. The Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has decided to close the private access road leading to the site, prohibiting further visitor entry. The breathtaking cliffside seascape has now bid farewell to tourists, leaving many expressing their disappointment.

As both Bayan Village and Eagle Stone Peak have become off-limits, people have started exploring new spots and hidden gems. The advanced version of Shuishui Central in New Taipei City, nestled by mountains and water with crystal-clear lake reflections, has left many in awe. However, many netizens are also concerned that once this new hidden gem becomes overly popular, it might suffer the same fate of damage, sparking widespread discussion.
