As famous as Haidilao, Beijing’s Huang Jihuang Three-Cup Braised Pot—following the launch of its No. 1 store on the 4th floor of ATT 4 FUN in Xinyi District, Taipei—officially opens its No. 2 store at ATT Kuaishishang in Taoyuan’s Station Front Commercial Area on March 25. Now you don’t have to go all the way to Taipei for a taste. And from April 5 to 4月30, show any Taoyuan-related ID to enjoy an exclusive 10% discount on all hot pot ingredients at the Taoyuan store.

Huang Jihuang Three-Cup Braised Pot is adapted from the Qing Dynasty’s famous spicy fish dish. During cooking, not a single drop of water is added—it’s known as the “hot pot without soup.” The bottom layer is lined with root vegetables, followed by a selection of customer-chosen main ingredients, then covered with a lid to “braise,” allowing the flavors of the vegetables and main ingredients to meld. After about 10 minutes, a secret sauce is poured over the ingredients and simmered until fully infused. Since the base is made of root vegetables, moisture is slowly released during braising. Huang Jihuang also offers a unique “one pot, two ways” style of dining: just add a bit of broth to the pot and enjoy blanched veggies and other ingredients, getting both styles in one meal.
