Korean star Hwang Jung-min films on Zhongshan Bridge in Taiwan, following Hou Hsiao-hsien

Taiwan’s rich natural beauty and cultural charm have gradually garnered international attention. Following the filming of movies such as "Lucy" and the Hollywood blockbuster "Silence" in Taiwan, Taiwanese backdrops are set to shine on the big screen once again. The Korean film "Work" first selected Xinzhuang’s Central Market on the 20th for shooting, transforming the site to resemble the 1990s in order to depict a scene of inter-Korean intelligence warfare. In addition to Xinzhuang, the "Work" production team also chose Keelung’s Zhongshan Bridge. This location was previously featured in director Hou Hsiao-hsien’s 2001 film "Millennium Mambo," marking its return to the silver screen. To facilitate filming, the Keelung City Government will close Zhongshan Overpass and surrounding traffic on the evenings of February 27 and 28. Travelers are advised to take note.

This time, Korean movie star Hwang Jung-min is involved in the shoot. With the involvement of an international production team, the global visibility of Taiwan’s scenic spots is expected to rise further. As the film’s title has not yet been finalized, everything is currently focused on ensuring smooth production.
