Newly Opened Hong Kong Disneyland Explorer Lodge

The four themed gardens surround the various wings of the hotel and are named after characters from Disney and Disney•Pixar animated films. These include the “Colibri Garden,” themed around the South American landscapes in *Up*; the “Turtle Cove Garden,” showcasing the laid-back vibes of Oceania from *Finding Nemo*; the “Hathi Jr.’s Treehouse Garden,” inspired by the Asian wilderness in *The Jungle Book*; and the “Rafiki’s Planet Watch Garden,” filled with the savanna essence of Africa from *The Lion King*, delivering a fun-filled experience. Guests can begin their adventure at the DreamFountain in the hotel lobby and enjoy a relaxing swim in the outdoor pool — the “RainClear Pool.”

The brand-new hotel has seven floors and offers 750 rooms with either sea or garden views. As part of the continuous expansion of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, the three new themed lands were completed in 2013, allowing guests to enjoy a wide variety of attractions, entertainment shows, and experiences across the resort’s seven themed areas. New attractions have been added to the park, including the recently launched “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance” and the world’s first Marvel superhero-themed ride, “Iron Man Experience,” dedicated to Iron Man.

In addition, the new hotel features three themed restaurants: the “Mandarin Garden Restaurant” is a Chinese cuisine restaurant themed around ancient Chinese wisdom, drawing inspiration from the concept of the Five Elements in both cooking techniques and décor, where guests can savor authentic countryside flavors, traditional Cantonese dishes, and other provincial Chinese specialties; the “Terra Dining Room” offers international cuisine, blending exotic spices and cooking styles to present a colorful array of distinctive dishes that provide both innovative flavors and a touch of nostalgia; and at the “Explorer’s Club Restaurant,” adventurers can enjoy specialty coffee in a relaxing atmosphere, along with a selection of light meals such as European breakfast, salads, freshly made sandwiches, signature pasta, and chef-created ice cream.

Themed around the golden age of exploration in the early 1920s, Disney Explorers Lodge offers guests an exotic holiday experience. The hotel displays handicrafts and collectibles gathered from around the world, and its rooms, restaurants, and overall design reflect an explorer’s style both inside and out.
