The "Andante Timber House & Restaurant" in Hualien will cease operations starting today.

"Andante" is a cultural and creative brand established in 2014 through a partnership between Ambassador Hotel and the Hualien Cultural and Creative Park. The hotel renovated the over 80-year-old Japanese-style timber house area within the park, preserving the main architectural structure while adding landscaped gardens, resulting in 13 independent timber houses. It also included a restaurant of the same name, "Andante." Upon opening, it quickly became a popular accommodation and dining destination in Hualien. Its announcement of closure has left many people disappointed.
