The weather warms up over the week, but turns unsettled again on Friday, the eve of the Qingming holiday

Starting April 1, the Qingming holiday begins. Aside from eastern areas and regions north of Taoyuan, where rain is expected, the rest of Taiwan will see sunny to partly cloudy weather with temperatures around 15 degrees. Temperatures will rise slightly again on Sunday, staying between 15–20 degrees, with southern regions reaching higher temperatures of 20–25 degrees. As the Qingming holiday kicks off, it’s not only a time for travel but also for tomb sweeping. Aside from the northern and eastern parts, where rainy conditions should be noted, other areas will have sunny to partly cloudy weather. Due to radiative cooling at night and in the early morning, temperatures will be low in the early morning and late evening, with significant day-night temperature differences. Bring a light jacket or thin warm clothing to avoid catching a chill.
