Given the special significance of this 20th-anniversary Mayday concert and the fact that entry is free, there are reports of companies giving employees a day off and schools canceling evening study sessions. It’s easy to imagine that attendees won’t be limited to those with seats in the open-air music stage area—the surrounding lawns will surely be packed as well. Maintaining the park afterward will also be a major challenge. Visitors are urged to take their trash with them to keep the park clean.
Many fans have also started scouting the venue early, with parking and queue routes being key concerns. The park has about 800 parking spaces, and those wishing to enjoy the concert are advised to use public transportation whenever possible. To maintain order around Da’an Forest Park and ensure smooth traffic on the evening of the 29th, the Taipei City Government has deployed additional police officers and increased bus services. Commuters passing by the area that evening are advised to consider alternative routes as needed to avoid disruptions.
