The Huatung Valley area boasts an abundance of spectacular scenery, and even a three-day trip might not be enough to explore all its hidden wonders—this is also the most enchanting feature of eastern Taiwan. In the Yuli District of Hualien, within the Tiefen Tribe on County Highway 193, there is a majestic hidden waterfall gem—Tiefen Waterfall. Since few people visit this spot, it gives off the vibe of a secluded paradise. The water of Tiefen Waterfall mainly originates from the western side of the Coastal Mountains. The waterfall is about 26 meters high, with cool water cascading down the towering cliffs, forming silvery ribbons, splashing up showers of droplets, with misty vapors drifting in the air. By the summer solstice, it becomes the best choice for locals to escape the heat.
