Spring is the season when flowers bloom, and also when cherry blossoms come into full flower. Many tourists take advantage of their holidays to visit popular cherry blossom spots across the country to admire their beautiful blossoms. In addition to common Taiwanese cherry varieties such as mountain cherry, yaezakura, and Somei Yoshino, located beside Makang Junior High School in Tuku, Yunlin, there is a 2-kilometer-long Bauhinia Avenue that is currently in passionate full bloom—its magnificence is no less than other renowned cherry blossom viewing spots. Commonly known as the Indian cherry, the Bauhinia blooms with vibrant pink petals. Though different from the cherry blossoms found in places like Alishan, they are equally enchanting, making this road a distinctive feature of the local community.
