Seven-thousand-square-meter lavender field with 20,000 blossoms — free to visit

As spring blooms and the pink cherry blossom viewing craze takes over, a purple wave is also set to arrive. By the Mingde Waterfront in Miaoli, there lies the largest lavender garden in northern Taiwan—Grace Herb Garden. Spanning 7,000 square meters of garden, it is home to 20,000 lavender plants, exuding the rich fragrance of authentic lavender. The flowering season runs from March to May each year. Not only is the public welcome to visit for free, but the farm owner also invites visitors to take part in hands-on experiences such as planting, harvesting, and essential oil extraction.

The farm was originally established to help individuals recovering from drug addiction reintegrate into society by cultivating skills in farming and product R&D—a venture with special meaning. Grace’s products are made using essential oils and hydrosols from their own farm herbs. These include handmade soaps, shampoos, shower gels, and skincare items that are free from harmful substances and synthetic fragrances, making them gentle on the body. They offer the pure scent of lavender and are environmentally friendly, being biodegradable in soil—allowing everyone access to non-toxic home products.
