From Oscar-nominated director Virgil Widrich comes his latest fantasy work—Feng Shui Death Home, another hilarious underworld comedy following ["What We Do in the Shadows"]. The main roles are played by Laurence Rupp and Amira Casar, opening in Taiwan on April 28.

The story follows the womanizing Zhiming (Herman) who secretly carries on an affair with his mistress Yanhong (Gertrude), while his wife Chunjiao (Rainette) has just given birth to their young daughter Mingzhu (Erika)—and then… she dies. Yanhong is then elevated to the position of mistress of the Lin family. Years later, the descendants of Yanhong and Chunjiao are constantly fighting over the family inheritance.

One day, Mingzhu finally agrees to sign the agreement, but just then her son Wenyang (John) arrives in time—only for Mingzhu to suddenly drop dead. When the police arrive at the Lin residence, Wenyang’s deceased mother is found alive and well at the scene. Moreover, all the ancestors of the Lin family have returned from the dead.

Yanhong and Chunjiao, who have been dead for many years, spend the whole night fighting over who is the true mistress of the Lin family, while the family patriarch Zhiming never shows up. Wenyang begins to suspect that his grandfather’s death wasn’t so simple after all, and asks the police to investigate. Is it the lure of money, the entanglement of fate, or the complications of love that planted the seeds of murder...?
