The Qingjing Trail has become a sensation even before its official opening, generating continuous buzz online. In addition to officially naming this highest trail in Taiwan the “Qingjing High-Altitude View Trail,” the county government also plans to introduce a ticket package. By using transportation to reach Qingjing, visitors can enjoy discounted trail admission, aiming to alleviate traffic pressure. Originally built by Nantou County Government to address the issue of pedestrian and vehicle conflict on Qingjing and ensure visitor safety, the “Qingjing High-Altitude View Trail” unexpectedly gained media attention even before opening. Not only has it been widely discussed in online news, but its click-through rates have also continued to soar.

The “Qingjing High-Altitude View Trail,” set to open in May, will limit the number of visitors on the trail to no more than 2,000 to accommodate the expected crowds. Additionally, traffic support measures are under discussion to help reduce the impact on local traffic. To encourage the use of public transport to Qingjing, the county government plans to offer discounted ticket packages and will collaborate with units such as the Puli Works Section to provide real-time traffic information through a road condition monitoring system. This will also help visitors avoid peak traffic times when traveling to Qingjing.

The Tourism Department also stated that tickets for the Qingjing High-Altitude View Trail will be priced at NT$50 for standard admission, NT$30 for concessionary tickets, and NT$10 as an insurance fee for individuals with disabilities. Ticket booths will be set up at the Butterfly Garden, South Area Shopping District, and Sheep Castle. During holiday peak periods, shuttle buses will be used to transport visitors between the National Guesthouse and Qingqing Grassland.

With the Qingjing High-Altitude View Trail set to open in May, local businesses in Qingjing are looking forward to a boom in tourism. The Qingjing Little Switzerland Windmill Festival, originally held during summer vacation, has been rescheduled to start early on May 1. An event will also be held on April 28, featuring a “sea of flowers” created by thousands of windmills on the Blue Light Grassland along the Lakeside Blue Sky Trail, highlighting the charm of alpine tourism. Additional events, including a water screen laser show, will be held during the summer vacation, allowing visitors to enjoy activities from day to night.
