At 8:00 AM on April 26, Tropical Storm Muifa formed as the first typhoon of 2017 (international name: MUIFA, Chinese name: Muifa). Its center was located at 13.3°N, 134.7°E, moving west-northwest at 12 km/h, shifting to north-northwest at 9 km/h. The central pressure was 1000 hPa, with maximum sustained winds of 18 m/s near the center and gusts up to 25 m/s. The radius of the 7-level wind area was 100 km.

Based on its current trajectory, it is not expected to have a significant impact on Taiwan, as it is still about 1800 km away and unlikely to intensify. Therefore, there's no need to worry about typhoon effects. However, from the 26th to the 27th, due to the influence of the northeast monsoon and a cold front moving south, there is a chance of rain across Taiwan, with temperatures dropping below 20°C. Be sure to stay warm in the early morning and evening.
