A dancing forest of light and shadow choreographed to music – a new highlight at a century-old hot spring destination

Baoquan Hot Spring Park is the main venue for this year’s Hot Spring & Food Festival. Before the event kicked off under the organization of Tainan City Government’s Tourism Bureau, the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration leveraged the site’s unique terrain and flowing water imagery to design a forest that dances to music in the darkness, creating yet another new highlight in Guanziling. The aim is to allow visitors to experience the century-old charm of Guanziling’s hot springs through the rhythm of music and lighting, discovering that the nighttime ambiance of this hot spring town can be just as intoxicating — no drinks required.

Since 2016, when Guanziling launched its opening act with blessings under the streetlights at Lingding Park and the Fire King Festival, the Hot Spring & Food Festival has added its own vibrant notes. In 2017, the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration used “light” environments to showcase Guanziling’s most beautiful scenery to visitors, while also encouraging them to slow down, embrace a more leisurely pace, and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of this beautiful hot spring town. Here, you can unwind with the area’s famous mud hot springs and savor local delicacies.
