The owner originally comes from a Cantonese cuisine background and co-founded MISO Yakitori Izakaya with friends. He now runs the Tianmu branch, personally going to the market daily to select and prepare ingredients. The izakaya dishes he offers — whether deep-fried or stir-fried — are all expertly handled. Signature dishes include grilled tofu, fish skin, special cartilage, and beef rolls. The fried rice is so good that even the owner of 1988, whom we interviewed in Tianmu, is a regular here. That day, our group actually ran into him in the shop — luckily, no one said anything bad about the place!

You can see the shop is filled with Japanese-style decor, and one corner features wine labels collected from customers as decoration. The Burnout group even joked, “We should just paste up our business cards one by one too,” haha.

Take a look at the menu — organized by meat categories, it offers a really wide variety of dishes. With its operating hours and location, being able to enjoy so many dishes late at night after work is honestly super satisfying!

If you’re not sure what to order, you can also check out the top ten bestsellers or the chef’s recommendations. Burnout really wanted fried rice, but the boss’s wife from Sweet Legend No. 16 kept saying they didn’t get enough to eat at the last staff meal. When the boss asked what they had last time, without saying a word, they were served Japanese-style stir-fried udon — and then they were full.

By the way, izakaya appetizers have catfish — that’s pretty interesting. Aside from edamame, there’s also vinegar-marinated fish skin, overcat salad, and miso’s homemade pickles. The pickles are really tasty!

Haven’t had beer in a while? Doesn’t matter — when you see Orion beer, you’ve gotta order it. And then everyone quietly clinked their glasses.

Salt-grilled ultra-black wagyu beef ribs— you absolutely have to order this!!! The first second it hits your mouth, it’s unbelievably good. This is definitely a must-order signature dish.

Japanese-style stir-fried udon— looking at the photo, I have to say, Boss Lady, what does the grumbling about not getting full at the staff meal have to do with Burnout coming to interview you? Although the chewy texture is really delicious, what Burnout wanted was fried rice, fried rice, and more fried rice!

Pork belly stir-fried with water shield

When I had this dish, I instantly felt like I was in a Taiwanese-style beer house. It’s stir-fried to be crispy and delicious — truly refreshing!

Soy-braised pork collar skewers with garlic sprouts

This one is also highly recommended. Almost everyone did the same thing — a sip of liquor, a bite of meat — super enjoyable!

Miso-style Japanese fried chicken

I mean, the owner isn’t from a Cantonese background? But this dish is also fried really well — crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the meat juices are perfectly locked in. It’s seriously amazing.

Mentaiko chicken skewers

This mentaiko is like a winter down jacket wrapped around the chicken — isn’t that too thick? Are they worried the chicken will catch a cold? But the moment you take a bite, that thick mentaiko coating is so lovable. (The chicken is, of course, also deliciously grilled~)

Corn shoots with skin

One tiny corn shoot at a time, peeling and eating, savoring the sweetness — so satisfying!

Half-dried mackerel (left overnight)

Yeah~ this is really good. The boss says, “I make this all by myself.” The adorable boss practically had his tail up (if he had one), and honestly, this half-dried mackerel isn’t just tender — it’s not too salty either. During the interview, the bowl… (text cut off)

Miso-style grilled tofu

You rarely come across a dish like this, which is kind of like stinky tofu — it's deep-fried and then grilled. The crispy exterior pairs perfectly with the tender, oil-free tofu inside. It’s truly a signature dish you must try!

Spicy Salt Special Cartilage

Made with the cartilage from the ankle part of chicken feet, it has a super unique texture and pairs great with drinks. We highly recommend giving it a try.

At first, we were hesitant to come because the shop had just opened and we were all overworked. But we decided to drop by right before covering the food festival today. Oh—this place is going to last a long time unless the landlord is the issue. Not only is it close to two major areas where office workers gather, but the seasoning isn’t too salty either. Plus, the dishes introduced to us by the boss today were all incredibly delicious. Even the overworked among us and the three bosses who came along had a fantastic meal. Just thinking about our colleagues still stuck in the ‘white tower’ now having a go-to spot for late-night snacks after work makes us so happy—this place is amazing, we’re totally recommending it!
