Spring has arrived, bringing a snow-like sea of white clover blossoms

As the weather warms and spring flourishes, with flowers and plants in full bloom, the riverside parks of New Taipei City and the grassy areas between the Xinbei Bridge and the Dahan Bridge now resemble an endless snowy expanse — it's actually the brilliant display of white clover, which is blooming more vibrantly than ever this year. Not only is the sight more beautiful and widespread, but it’s also better for photography. The boundless white landscape has become a paradise for photography enthusiasts, while also attracting many visitors for picnics or outings with their pets to enjoy this breathtaking snowy-white scene.

White clover, also known as cowgrass or white alfalfa, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the legume family. It thrives in warm, moist climates, adapts well to various environments, and is also an excellent nitrogen-fixing plant. It not only enriches the soil with nutrients but also helps prevent soil erosion, making it a highly natural and beneficial choice for grassland maintenance. To enhance the ecological diversity and seasonal beauty of the riverside area, the currently blooming white clover is allowed to propagate naturally to enrich the soil. After the flowering season, it will be trimmed along with regular mowing operations to create natural fertilizer.

In addition, visiting the white clover fields has become even more convenient. Visitors can drive to the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park on their own or take public transportation. Simply take the Airport MRT Line, exit at Exit 1A of Sanchong Station (A2), and you can admire this vast snowy-white view from the observation platform at the exit. Residents are welcome to take a relaxing trip to the riverside for a light getaway, or enjoy a picnic on the riverside grasslands to soak in the most comfortable and pleasant spring temperatures.

Additionally, due to the dense growth of the flower sea and the fact that white clover is an excellent nectar plant, bees may be present around the blossoms.
