Weekly weather forecast: Afternoon brief showers with rising then falling temperatures

May 5th to 6th: Affected by the passage of a frontal system and the northeastern monsoon, showers become more widespread across the island, and the weather in the north and northeast will also begin to turn cooler. On May 7th (Sunday), there will be localized brief showers in the northern, eastern, and central mountainous regions, while other areas remain mostly cloudy. Temperatures across the island have gradually risen to above 20°C (minimum), with daytime highs reaching between 25–29°C. On May 3rd to 4th, the highest temperatures across the island will bring a taste of summer heat, with Taipei reaching up to 32°C during the day, and the south seeing highs of 33°C. The temperature difference across regions is gradually narrowing, though in the northern area, the early-morning to late-night difference can still be as much as 6–7°C, so those heading out early or returning late should take care to stay warm during the early morning and late night hours.
