Starbucks' largest global premium flagship store sparks buzz

The globally renowned coffee chain Starbucks recently announced plans to open the world’s largest retail store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, USA. The company aims to complete construction by 2019, replacing the existing home furnishings brand Crate & Barrel with a four-story, 1,200-ping premium flagship store. This move will transform Starbucks from just a coffee shop into a fashion hub akin to a museum, where customers can purchase top-tier and rare coffee varieties and witness the entire roasting process.

The flagship store is officially named Starbucks Reserve Roastery. It will offer Starbucks’ highest-end and most prestigious reserve coffees, as well as a variety of light meals and desserts crafted by its roasters. With Chicago’s enchanting night scenery, the store has generated high anticipation among many tourists. The Starbucks Reserve Roastery will be the third such premium store after those in Seattle and New York, also breaking the previous record for the planned world’s largest store in China.
