The sea of flowers, waterfalls, secret gardens, and quaint little villages have drawn crowds of flower enthusiasts.

Located in Hongshi Xizhou Tribe, Baihe District, Tainan, this village is usually remote and rarely visited—even many locals from Baihe may not know of its existence. However, over the past two years, it has attracted crowds due to its dendrobium orchid waterfalls. Every year around May, the dendrobium orchids burst into spectacular bloom, creating a breathtaking scene resembling a waterfall. This has drawn large numbers of visitors eager to admire the flowers, transforming this hidden little village into a popular flower-viewing hotspot.

The Hongshi Xizhou Tribe is home to only about a hundred residents and is a typical agricultural community. A local resident, Mr. Wu, retired several years ago and started growing orchids. A few years back, he brought home a Dendrobium Heavenly King and let it grow on an old longan tree in his yard. Since then, during the blooming season, it has attracted numerous visitors. This year, due to weather conditions, the blooming period is slightly later than usual. The longest dendrobium orchids reach about 180 cm, and the flowering season lasts for two to three weeks.
