'Love Off the Cuff' Box Office Hits 100 Million – A Closer Look at the Taipei Marriott Scene
The highly anticipated Mandarin film *Love Off the Cuff* topped 550 million in box office revenue across Greater China within just one week of its release, instantly boosting search interest in Taipei travel. One of the film’s most pivotal plot-twist scenes was shot at the Taipei Marriott Hotel. The hotel has unveiled the luxurious room featuring views of the Miramar Ferris Wheel used in the filming, and has also launched the “Love Off the Cuff Dream Stay” package, inviting movie fans from around the world to help fulfill the unrealized Taipei adventures of Ching (played by Miriam Yeung) and Jim (played by Shawn Yue)!

Two key factors made this Taipei hotel scene ideal for the working couple in the film: a spacious yet tasteful lobby, high-quality room decor, and proximity to the Ferris Wheel. Moreover, instead of the conventional Taipei 101, the filmmakers chose the Miramar Ferris Wheel to represent Taipei, solidifying the Taipei Marriott Hotel’s status as home to one of the city’s most beautiful night views. Through *Love Off the Cuff*, the hope is not only to attract more international productions to shoot in Dazhi but also to boost foreign tourism to Taiwan.
