Scientist Laura and her team investigate an ecological disaster. No sooner does the plane land than a group of masked armed forces forcibly escort her onto another aircraft, transferring her to an unknown location. When she realizes it's a kidnapping and that she's been abandoned in a salt marsh desert, the criminals have already driven off in their jeeps, leaving only two blind boys on the island, murmuring about the white demon...

She takes on the responsibility of caring for the two boys and discovers that the reason for their deteriorating vision is the so-called "white disaster." What is the kidnappers' motive? Meanwhile, molten lava beneath the salt marsh begins to stir, and a series of volcanic activities indicate that an eruption is imminent. Salt and fire consume each other as the land retaliates against humanity in an unexpected way...
