[The Lost City] is produced under the supervision of Plan B, the film production company of Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt, who serves as a producer on this project and reunites with the award-winning team behind *12 Years a Slave* and *World War Z*. Directed by James Gray, a Cannes Film Festival-nominated filmmaker known for *The Immigrant* and *The Lost City of Z*, the film took six years just to prepare before officially starting production in 2015. James Gray revealed: "This story is incredibly compelling but also very complex, and I wanted to present it in the most fitting and accurate way possible."

British Colonel Percy Fawcett (played by Charlie Hunnam) and his adjutant Henry Costin (played by Robert Pattinson) venture deep into the mysterious Amazon rainforest in South America and unexpectedly discover signs of an unknown ancient civilization. Upon returning to Britain to reveal this groundbreaking discovery, he is mocked and dismissed as a joke, with no one willing to believe his story.

With the unwavering support of his devoted wife (played by Sienna Miller), Fawcett resolves to return to the Amazon rainforest with his son Jack (played by Tom Holland) in search of evidence of the ancient civilization. However, the group mysteriously disappears, leaving behind no trace or news—becoming one of history’s most enigmatic and suspenseful missing person cases.
