Relive the excitement of the Universiade: Taipei mascot Brownie launches a book and holds meet-and-greet events across Taiwan

Taipei City’s most adorable mascot, “Brownie,” is releasing a book—and fans are thrilled. Telling the heartwarming and challenging story behind Brownie’s experience at the Universiade, *A Unique Species of Taiwan—Brownie* is now on sale in major bookstores and online retailers. Starting January 20th, three new book signing events will be held to share with fans how Brownie went from obscurity to fame through the Universiade, unveiling the untold story behind its rise to stardom.

*A Unique Species of Taiwan—Brownie* features many stunning photos from the Universiade, various first-time experiences, and records of interactions between Brownie and the city’s mayor. The book also reveals some lesser-known moments, including the cold receptions Brownie faced before becoming famous. Brownie’s manager also shares the bittersweet journey of forming the Brownie team, as well as the intense promotional efforts during the lead-up to the Universiade, where the team worked day and night to help more people get to know Brownie and learn about the Games—a truly fulfilling and enriching time.

*A Unique Species of Taiwan—Brownie* is now available in major bookstores and online platforms. To thank fans for their long-standing support, Brownie will host three book signing events: at 2:00 PM on January 20th at Taipei Zhongshan Underground Street—Eslite R79, at 6:00 PM on January 27th at Eslite Bookstore in Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Plaza Taichung, and at 2:00 PM on January 28th at Eslite Bookstore in Pacific Sogo Kaohsiung. Fans who purchase a book for signing will also receive a limited-edition “Brownie” lucky money charm.
