KYOTO TOWER SANDO, a Must-Visit New Landmark for Japanese Souvenirs, Grandly Opens

Located right in front of JR Kyoto Station, KYOTO TOWER SANDO opened in mid-April. It is a newly renovated space spanning the basement level 1 to the 2nd floor inside the Kyoto Tower building, offering an important new option for the station district shopping area beyond street stores. The redesigned mall features different themes on each floor, covering everything from gourmet food to souvenirs. With a total of 55 shops across three floors and the convenience of its surroundings, it meets the diverse needs of both local residents and tourists.

The basement level 1 is the KYOTO FOOD HALL, featuring a food street focused on flavorful cuisine, bringing together numerous popular local and trending restaurants. With about 400 seats, it allows visitors to enjoy delicious meals to their heart's content. The 1st floor is the Souvenir MARKET, focusing on Kyoto souvenirs and crafts, including Japanese sweets, pickles, cosmetics, and cafes from Kyoto, totaling 31 shops. The popular Japanese sweets shop Kyoto Kitayama Malebranche is also located here, making it perfect for visitors who enjoy the classic charm of the ancient capital. The 2nd floor is the Experience WORKSHOP, offering creative workshops where visitors can try their hand at Kyoto-style experiences, with a total of 5 shops.
