A highly photogenic ruin-style spot, perfect for IG-worthy bridal photo shoots

Recently, IG has seen a surge in ruin-themed photography. Abandoned train stations, churches, amusement parks — as long as you capture the right lighting angle and apply the proper shooting techniques and post-processing, the results can be incredibly atmospheric, and these photos have gone viral online. In the Changhua area, there is an abandoned large textile factory called Qiaofang, which was once the largest textile factory in central Taiwan, built with an investment of NT$1 billion in the 1990s. However, due to suspected wastewater discharge that caused ecological pollution at the river mouth, it drew strong complaints from local fishermen and oyster farmers. After several years of shutdowns and restarts, the factory has been abandoned ever since.
