The much-loved dreamy, princess-style makeup and skincare brands LADURÉE, PAUL&JOE, and ANNA SUI have reportedly exited Taiwan. In the past, PAUL&JOE and Les Merveilleuses LADURÉE were among the must-buy makeup and skincare brands for many female travelers in Japan. ANNA SUI has had a presence in Taiwan for a longer time, but now it’s been announced that all three will close their Taiwan counters on August 31, surprising and disappointing many loyal fans.
PAUL&JOE often releases packaging full of childlike charm and girlish flair, always eliciting exclamations of cuteness from fans.
LADURÉE branched into makeup and skincare from its French dessert brand, with romantic and luxurious packaging that is highly favored by female consumers.
ANNA SUI features a purple color scheme, often paired with black, champagne gold, and other hues, along with floral embellishments, making its packaging very distinctive.
The common trait of these three brands is that their packaging styles add a touch of romance and girlish charm. PAUL&JOE adds a bit of whimsy, LADURÉE leans more toward a princess or courtly style, and ANNA SUI brings a bit more personality. They offer consumers more creative choices beyond conventional makeup and skincare packaging, and each new release always catches the eye.
Due to the expiration of licensing agreements and the Japanese side’s decision not to renew, these three brands will cease sales in Taiwan as of August 31. Details regarding loyalty points and product clearance will be announced by the respective brands. Fans of these three brands will need to purchase them abroad in the future.
