The Taitung Langdao Boulevard features an endless winding path through a vast sea of rice fields, where the open landscape offers a relaxing and healing experience. Beyond Taitung, Taiwan is also home to many magnificent rice field vistas. Below are five Langdao Boulevards—including Taitung—that showcase these stunning sights. Visit during the rice harvest season to immerse yourself in the rich aroma of rice and earth, as the endless fields stretch out like a heavenly path, temporarily easing your worries.

Taichung – Waipu Carefree Valley

Located in Waipu, Taichung, Carefree Valley boasts boundless rice fields with no obstructing buildings, resembling the scenery of Langdao Boulevard and earning the nickname "Carefree Valley" from netizens. Besides its usual lush green fields, around June each year when the rice matures, visitors can admire the vast golden seas of rice—an absolutely captivating sight.

Tainan – Xinying Dongshan
 
Near Tianwei and Jibesha in Dongshan, Xinying (GPS: 23.300266, 120.381153), there’s a beautiful scenery comparable to Taitung’s Langdao Boulevard. The golden rice fields set against blue skies and white clouds create postcard-worthy views that captivate visitors. Nearby, you can also explore the Jibesha Tribe of the Siraya people to experience local traditional culture and colors.

Yilan – Sanqi Langdao Boulevard
 
Yilan’s version of Langdao Boulevard, located in Sanqi Village, stretches about 2 kilometers in length and 5 meters in width, situated between Fengzun Temple and Xiesong Road. The road features nine S-shaped curves without a single utility pole. From May to June each year during the rice harvest, it resembles a dragon lying amid golden rice stalks. Walking or cycling along the path allows you to enjoy the scenery of rice fields and rural life, while venturing into the narrow field ridges lets you breathe in the rich scents of rice and earth.

Hualien – Danongdafu Plain Forest Park
 
Danongdafu Plain Forest Park is located in the prime section of the Huatung Valley. The park is designed based on three core principles: low carbon emissions, minimal development, and low commercialization, incorporating eco-friendly, cultural, scenic, and environmentally sustainable green energy facilities. Covering an area of 1,250 hectares (equivalent to 48 Da’an Forest Parks), the park is flanked by the Central Mountain Range to the east and the Coastal Mountain Range to the west, making it the best spot to observe the Huatung Valley. In addition to its expansive rural beauty, the seasonal flower fields are incredibly enchanting.
